“I know. You told me. On your way out the door.”

“Then… could we start over? You and me? Like today never happened?”

“No.”

[Music]

“And you’re wearing somebody else’s ring.”

“Okay. Then at least let me tell you the truth.”

“Sutton was Emma’s account from day one. She signed every confirmation. I trusted the wrong person.”

“Is that right?”

“I’m just telling you what’s on paper.”

“Good. Because paper is all I’m going by. Not how I used to feel about you.”

“Eleven. Eleven delivery confirmations for Sutton Creative. Every one of them signed by Emma Rhodes.”

“Ms. Barrett?”

“Emma managed the Sutton account. She was their contact, and she signed off on everything they delivered.”

“I approved the totals. I trusted my team.”

“And at lunch today, she went to Mr. Turner’s office to accuse me. Ask her why.”

“Because the plan was mine. And you told me to sign those. I asked you which events they were for.”

“Do you have that in writing?”

“No. You said it in your office.”

“Ms. Rhodes, did you ever attend one of these events?”

“No, sir. I asked for the dates twice. I never got them.”

“Ms. Rhodes, until this is resolved, policy is suspension, and your building access gets switched off today.”

“If these forms hold up, your name goes into the referral to prosecutors.”

“I didn’t take anything. Not one dollar.”

“Suspension with pay.”

“Caleb?”

“I said I wouldn’t protect anyone because of a title. That goes for the smallest title in this room, too.”

“But nobody gets punished before we have proof. So, with pay.”

“And Ms. Barrett, you approved every one of those payments.”

“Until 10:00 tomorrow, you don’t touch a Sutton file.”

“Tomorrow at 10:00, Sutton Creative comes into this room and shows us exactly what we paid for.”

“Drive safe.”

“Get in. I’ll drive you home.”
