“Mr. Sutton, there’s one more deliverable.”
“Car 117. The SUV parked in our front space right now.”
“Sutton Creative’s contract is terminated effective now.”
“Everything goes to the prosecutors today.”
“You’ll be hearing from my lawyer.”
“Mr. Sutton, I’ll need the keys.”
“That’s my car.”
“No, sir. It belongs to Arden Motors.”
“I’m going to have to ask you to move along.”
“You go. The car stays.”
“As of today, Lauren Barrett is no longer with Arden.”
“She’ll cooperate in recovering the funds, and she’s giving up unit 41A.”
“Sutton Creative has been referred to prosecutors.”
“The VP decision is on hold.”
“And Emma Rhodes is our new director of marketing.”
[Applause]
“Thank you.”
“One new rule. Nobody signs off on anything they haven’t seen with their own eyes. That includes me.”
“The plan was yours. I took it because I could. I’m sorry.”
“I believe you mean that. Trusting you, that’s going to take a while.”
“I still don’t get why you drive this thing.”
“It was my dad’s.”
“He fixed every car that broke down on Route 9, and he never once asked what the driver did for a living.”
“He taught me you don’t measure a man by what he owns.”
“I gave Blake his ring back.”
“And this afternoon, I’m going to the prosecutors. I’m telling them everything.”
“Yesterday you told me you could change. Today, in that room, you didn’t say it. You did it.”
“But we can’t go back. Can we?”
“No. We can’t.”
“Every vendor gets audited quarterly from now on. And what do you want to do about that front parking space?”
“First come, first served. Any car.”
“You were right, Dad.”
